As an Italian-American, who lived both in the US and in Northern Italy, please do not try the bread in the US. It is not even comparable to northern Italian bread. And the author is from the east coast, which has more of a European presence

On the flipside, many have cut the cord because of the high cost of cable, partly due to the cost being inflated by being forced to have channels such as ESPN. Amazon purchasing the rights to sports increases the cost for those that do not

I would love to know what the song/music being played during the video is. Soundhound and Shazam both came up empty. Very Philip Glass-esque. EDIT: skimmed through the Spotify playlist. Not there.

That is true of almost anywhere. In the US, overseas, big cities, small cities. At least in the US, the current migration pattern is back toward cities, after the move to the suburbs of the past couple of generations.

I never do trails either since all I have also is a road bike. There is a stretch of Mulholland, where it is a dirt road, that is technically passable with road tires, but I have yet to attempt it. I like Ventura Blvd in the Valley to make

I work remote from central Los Angeles. The biking is incredible here. I mainly do hills and the Santa Monica/San Gabriel mountains provide some excellent climbing. There is very little traffic in the hilly parts of the city.

I should send the article for every Bay Area tech recruiter that asks me if I am willing to relocate to the Bay Area. How many people need to leave the area before the companies themselves follow due to lack of workers?

Thanks for the reply. I was thinking more general on how to display differences, not so much for code, although it definitely does help. More of a Tufte treatise on difference. Working on a tool to calculate search relevancy and it would be

On the subject of diff, can anyone recommend a resource to visualize the difference between two ordered lists? This website does visualize things nicely, but I would love to see a similar article written solely on the visual aspect.

If there is such a scheduling quirk, where schedules are determined in advance, why is overtime such an issue with BART? If they can allocate overtime at the last schedule because of a need for more resource, surely they can do the opposite

Can you please list where exactly the Los Angeles location is? The city is a large place. There is no address on the website either.

It would be helpful if Los Angeles companies can please put their exact location in the ad. The city/county is a large place and the location will help many filter out jobs.

I agree. I once was returning to the US via Newark airpot (in New Jersey) and the agent asked me what subway stop I lived by since I lived in NYC. I knew that I could have responded any answer, so he just want to see how I would react. Once

Vacation. Dependent on your living expenses and the amount of unemployment you get. Life is short, if you can travel while collecting unemployment, then try and do so. Been laid off a few times. I wish I traveled the first couple of times.

I did get used to being always vigilant. The beautiful homes surrounded by high walls and electric fencing. I've been playing the lotto recently so that I can quit my job and make it to Cape Town by March to compete in the Cape Argus.
