Cost of servers and DB don't match DO's current pricing. 4 vCPUs, 8GB RAM, 80GB disk costs $40/month now so two servers alone cost $80 which is higher than $69. Either DO raised pricing or they got some special discount.

There is an alternative solution: account-specific set of tables. Just add account id to table names like 'id_12345_posts' and 'id_12345_invoices'. To scale, shard them by account ID.

While I don't think Walkie-Talkie metaphor works for remote teams in general due to becoming an open invite to interruption, it may work for teams that need to work in tight collaboration , like in rapid emergency response and battle

I think there are other forms of dungeon mastering that use little or no AI while delivering the same if not better experience.

Re 1. The template is a nice 'developer' solution but I think the best is freeing users from the burden of learning unnecessary abstractions. Re 2. I mean the gesture of pressing mouse or finger down on an island/hill then dr

Suggestions from an old side-project: automate land management. - Placing a note automatically creates an island around it with a recognizable landmark nearby. Add a tree after each addition. Add or enlarge a pond after each deletion. - Dra

Worth it at component level. Hassle at application level. I use TS to write components and JS to write the app using those components.

Very cool although I don't think this will be more usable than normal ortholinear keyboards. Key problem is that we don't precisely know where our hands are relative to the keyboard so sculpting keycap surfaces to be close to fing

My two cents worth: One is a measure of time. The other is a measure of distance. The two are unrelated.

Same for Koreans. Capitalizing the first character of the 'generational' name and lowercase for given name could work. But I think emphasizing the given name offers better UX so given name should be all caps and family name should

True although I've been having traditional Korean meals (mostly rice and lightly cooked vegetables) in America for decades. Having Korean supermarkets within driving distance is one of the hidden benefits of living in California.

So breakfast is an American invention? I ask because Korean words for breakfast and brunch existed even before America was founded.

I think SK government will not see problems in migration to Linux as blockers but as a major opportunity to help its IT businesses grow, particularly in the e-gov market. Net result: more choice and more business for all.

Much of it can be blamed on propaganda driven by economic decline and political scapegoating. While Korean music, drama, and movies are popular in Japan, consumers are mostly women. Among small but growing and very vocal population of Japan

Two issues worth mentioning IMO: - daily loss rate could escalate as thieves get better & friends join in. - personal injury - you're encouraging people to ride scooter without a helmet.
