I remember using these CD caddy Performas in elementary school when they were relatively new and being somewhat confused by the why, as we had a tray loading audio CD player in our living room at the time.

Huh, I worked for an agency and built a site that was essentially "Uber for Nurses" back in 2010. I was immediately like "it's not them is it?" No, seems they shut down in 2017. As far as I know, never really took o

I know they removed the CAS capabilities to appease school boards. Are you still able to replace the firmware with the CAS capable version?

As a Middle-Aged person who does math on the periphery of calculus reasonably often, for work and in my day to day life, my irritation with calculators is that their capabilities are largely driven by the education markets demands. The smal

I had a shortwave radio as a kid in the 90s in Minnesota. I never picked up much with it. Some Mexican stations, weather broadcasts, and when the ionosphere was right BBC World Service. On exceedingly rare occasions I could even pick up sta

I don't know, code that isn't at least internally consistent with itself in capitalization is a pet peeve. There should be one way to do a thing.

That sounds like an astigmatism to me, which basically just means your lens is a little misshapen. I have a pretty bad astigmatism in one eye and have double vision in that eye without glasses, especially so from lit things like screens. Go

So I've just got a pretty major astigmatism in one eye, very minor in the other, without any other distortions. I went thirty years without corrective lenses and I think this kind of caused and reinforced my lazy eye. With simple presc

I have seen it with my own parents and my wife's parents first hand. Frankly, I think the lack of social interaction is a big part of it. When they're working, they're regularly talking to people outside their comfort zone ab

Since the late 90s I've always had the thought in the back of my mind that one day I would run my own mail server. That day never came and the task seemed more and more impossible. This looks genuinely manageable, I might actually give

I write a pretty significant amount of Go code for my day job, and I have written code that calls panic probably less than five times. There are only really two types of cases where I would even consider it an option. Firstly, cases where I
