Read it again. He doesn't claim she was drunk. He says that she herself implies she was drunk when he said certain things he says he did not say. He further states that people that know her know she doesn't drink that much.

Apple has cared about user privacy a lot longer than 5 or 6 years. I've has Apple equipment for over 20 years and at no time have they sold my info to a third party or forced invasive 3rd party software to be installed on a new machine

The more impressive part is that the sky crane shot pictures, video and data and had to download everything to the rover before it was cut loose. As soon as the rover wheels touched ground, the tether was cut and the lander flew away.
