This is the story I was told growing up. Also mentioned in Layer Cake (2004) by Michael Gambon when he's laughing about someone's bad investment: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=9NMJAxq0QUk&t=210

Little bit of both? Also probably to prevent the temptation of theft. Even though the fee is nominal, it seems to be enough of a detractor?

You're allowed to purchase 2 packs of any drug containing paracetamol. Normally a pack contains either 12 or 24 tablets I think. Here's a link to a supermarket's policy: https://help.sainsburys.co.uk/help/

I've been trying (and failing) to get my ansible playbooks to work for about 2 hours - so definitely not a perfect solution by any stretch. This reminds me why I don't daily drive a linux machine! I don't know why I'm en

It may seem like overkill, but I learnt how to use ansible to manage the software on my pi. I've actually just upgraded my rpi4 to use an ssd so am choosing to start from scratch. I'm hoping my ansible playbooks are written well.

I used one of these at a hotel recently and the toast quality was second to none. When my current toaster bites the dust I'll be investing in one of these. I'm fed up with buying cheap stuff that's designed to break after 3 y

My library (in the UK) has this too, but you still have to do one book at a time.

This is pretty sad, I'm an avid user of a few of these tools. Seems like one of the main contributors is going to make a fork! https://github.com/SimpleMobileTools/General-Discussion/issu...

I use node-dev which seems to have good ts support. node-dev with --respawn is a good cheap way to watch and rerun ts files on change!

It seems strange that there are no test cases for this. Is that normal from nginx? And committed straight to master with no PR - is this a mirror from somewhere else, or the official repository? Edit: seems it is a mirror from http:/&

Whilst I mostly agree, and Node has arguably been forced down the browser-compatible route (for stuff like fetch() and web streams). There is a bunch of other stuff that isn't in Node, or it has it's own APIs for... alert/con

Got it! That's what I thought (feared). I wonder if there are ever plans to open it up to general use, or if it would be easy as an end user to jump said hoops. I wonder if there are any open source third parties?

It's been a little while since I've looked into the Open Banking API stuff - how easy is it to use this API as a consumer? Or do I have to create a business and apply for a license in order to use it?

I feel like the USA was probably ahead of the curve on things like the banking system in the 90s but removing all of that cruft and replacing with a v2 is not an easy thing to do. Especially when the population are generally skeptical of go

It is my first time going on mcmaster.com and it's working great on mobile for me (Android, Firefox). It feels snappy, good button sizes, great filtering options, no dead ends in flow until login to purchase. Top marks from me!

It's not technically a visa, but you must have an ESTA which is like a pre-approval for a visa and is required for all flights to USA from participating countries. Then on arrival it's up to the border patrol to determine you'

I use PayPal for when I'm buying stuff from websites that I use very infrequently. I "trust" (in the lightest possible sense) PayPal more than a random website with my card details. Making it go through PayPal seems safer?
