It doesn't take a researcher to realise that we have hit a wall and hit it more than a year ago now. The fact all these models are clustering around the same performance proves it.

You can go pretty far without your own DB. Depends on the types of queries you need to make. For my project[1], I was able to use getRecord[2] for a lot of the data that needed fetching on the client-side. 1 - https://scrapboard.

Then how do you live in this world? You cannot avoid providing a copy of your photo ID to someone at some point in your life. We really need some sort of standard for sharing specific and limited authenticated info about ourselves to third-

Two things: I am building a Pinterest clone that filters out AI generated imagery[1]. It is built on top of Bluesky so gets the benefit of its large library of well alt-text'd images, which aids with search. Also working on a new kind

This really deserves a digital solution. Let me get a government account and generate tokens that websites can ingest to confirm I'm an adult (and other optional details about me). Having to use passports or poor solutions like face sc

Private healthcare is still much cheaper in the UK, so you're still better off retiring there. Might not always be the case of course, but I would bet the situation will continue to be better than in the US.

I pay $0 and that's already enough for me. Genuinely, what are you getting for your $200? I cannot fathom paying that much for what seems like I get basically for free anyway.

A Pinterest alternative. Sick of seeing AI generated slop on Pinterest and want to build something better. I am also integrating it with ATProto. Current MVP supports search only: https://imaginarium.picheta.me/

Heh, I had a go at doing something in this space with AI a while back: finding properties via a prompt. It didn't end up working very well. Way too much hallucinations.
