I'm sorry, but can you expand on this claim? Do you believe that laws are not enforced at the border? Do the agents let anyone in or what is your believe that is happening? Just FYI I live close to the border and go often there and it&

Disclaimer: I'm biased as I built business around similar regulations [0]. Here is my take on the situation and the most likely outcome. European Court of Justice just cleared similar law in Europe and give it a final stamp of validity

This case is not a PR stunt. This is a test case that was purposely picked to test the law. This is quite common to find boundaries of any law and see if there is an opening for a commercial success. This is a landmark case that will be ref

Fines are fine balance between motivational and liquidating. I think 6% is quite a lot, even if one has 40% margin. Investors will be highly distraught and seek remedies from the current management. But for instance at 20% they will blame t

It's a good question, one that has not been answered yet. We will have to wait for some court cases to have this answer.

The interesting thing about AI generated content is that it can't be copyrighted in US [0]. This impacts the intrinsic value of the art, which is quite significant reason behind why people collect it in the first place [1]. AI is to ar

That is not technically correct. There is no definition "as soon as they receive it". In fact the law calls for "expeditiously or remove" access. Courts confirmed many times that days or weeks is considered expeditious.

As a caveat, I built business around the EUCD (Article 17, previously 13). It doesn't matter where the business is based. Up until you operate in EU you will have to be compliant. That said, for platforms below certain size the complia

True on all. I think that’s where Apple eventually landed. The value of restoring the full file system is low in a rigid environment like the MacOS (they nudge you to use specific folder structure, etc). It would’ve been interesting if Drop

I think this shows how biased we all are. 5h drive in the Pacific Northwest of US won’t even get you between large cities in some places. Anyway, I think both of us made solid points. It’s going to be interesting to watch.

I always though that Apple should’ve acquired the company and offer Time Machine in the cloud. The seamlessness of the TM is at another level, but the missing cloud backup made it always somewhat limited option. Apple has a history of buyin

I agree with your analysis of the charging needs but not with your conclusions. > the ideal model is not a charger with a gas-station like shop, but a mall that happens to have chargers. I own few Teslas for last decade or so. Last year
