Can someone explain to me why people keep referring to "Real-Time" chat? I've seen it multiple times and don't understand why... How is this in anyway different from just... chat. Is this some sort of buzzword bingo?

It's a bit comparing apples to oranges. If you were comparing say Cake or Zend to RoR and Django then it would be a reasonable comparison.

Sparks isn't like shared circles as I understand. They just bring up articles on selected topics to be used as conversation starters. I like the idea but I think the implementation of sparks is a bit rubbish. I think Twitter does a better j

I agree. It's not about creating groups of people to communicate with. It's about classifying how you think about people. The fact that circles are private is very important and keeps people getting mad because they are not in your "bestest

It's not at all an analogous situation. You're talking about offending people with the name of a package you wrote. This is talking about offending the person who originally wrote the package by suggesting a name, the connotations of which
