Anybody with a general understanding of how blockchain works should not find this conclusion surprising. Each subsequent block in the chain gets larger, increasing the cost of the necessary resources to sustain the cryptocurrency. > A si

The older Firefox browser (up to version 68) for Android had the "View Source" feature. Then it got replaced with Fenix, and we all know how that turned out.

Bromite is de-Googled Chrome. It's the reason why notifications are not supported; push notifications rely on Firebase Cloud Messaging / Google Cloud Messaging. It's actually less tied to Google services than Firefox.

John Carmack's contribution to the field of video games was revolutionary . He was the pioneer who brought smooth side-scrolling to PC gaming (e.g. Commander Keen) as well as 3D graphics to video games (e.g. Wolfenstein 3D, Doom). See

To grok a concept it helps to actually do it. You can take on a coding challenge for Huffman Encoding at Codewars: https://www.codewars.com/kata/54cf7f926b85dcc4e2000d9d

AskHistorians really is a great subreddit. IMO it's great because the moderators are so diligent with keeping it free from garbage (ie. memes, puns, unsubstantiated opinions, etc.).

The NY Times can be just as bad as any other online rag. They're incentivized to publish hit pieces, stories to spark outrage, anything to get clicks. Seems for many at the NYT, journalistic integrity is just some antiquated notion. Ta

Here's another thing to note: At least a few people here have probably heard the words "culture fit" uttered when a decision is being made to bring a new employee onboard. That's basically just a socially acceptable way

It's more like: If people won’t go to the trouble of using your preferred method of getting in touch with you then you don't have enough social clout .

It's not uncommon for those types of books (as you mentioned, for example, Malcolm Gladwell) to come into being as a result of a series of blog posts. A couple examples are Cal Newport and Mark Manson. Their books aren't bad, but

reddit may have been a good site a decade or so ago, but in its current state it's mostly a propaganda machine to manipulate clueless rubes. One look at the front page makes this glaringly obvious. The only remotely productive way to u

When a post involves gender and/or race, the Overton window is quite narrow. Those appear to be the most controversial with the comments section filled with snark and polemics.

Maybe it's nothing to brag about to some, but I'd say it's nothing to scoff at, either. Getting from zero to one is a major hurdle that many (perhaps most) people fail to achieve.
