Do you think, if the FBI hadn't gotten involved, that he would have had the initiative to put this plan, or any similar plan, into action himself? Based on the article, it seems to me that he almost certainly would not have. He appears

Definitely agreed. The greatest flow state I ever had was building a "raft" out of small logs and lots of cord on a rest day on a backpacking trip. It took hours to gather wood of the right size, break apart the pieces that were t

I've made motion sensors (still slightly buggy) and a small circuit to start my laundry machine remotely. I might do temp/humidity monitoring for a specialized application at some point.

It's a question of liquidity: If you stand to make $1m but have to put up $200k right now, that only works if you have a liquid $200k right now, and are willing to risk it on a single company stock (as opposed to say a down-payment on

You can require users to identify themselves in a "meaningful way," even in the way that they go by to some of their friends and acquaintances. People aren't arguing that. The point is that the name that they go by doesn'

As a non-twitter-using software engineer, when I land on a twitter page, I still find it fairly intimidating and requiring special knowledge. For example, why is there a dot before the @ in your example? (I actually know the answer to that

That's why I like it so much: I've been using thinkpads for years and got used to the feel of the keyboard, and also the trackpoint, so I wanted it when I was at a desktop too. It's really nice to not have to move your hand t

Yes, there are some used/refurbished on amazon for $200+ (or $300+ new). I don't like it _that_ much :) But this prompted me to look on amazon again and I found an older revision for $80 and nabbed it. No luck on ebay.

Could you point to where that model is "widely available"? It doesn't seem to be on amazon or newegg, and I'd really like to get another one (or two). It's my favorite keyboard as well.
