11 feels like XP with a new skin. I think they are shell shocked from vista and will never make drastic changes again. I don’t blame them vista was complete disregard for existing apps. Make a new OS without the windows debt.

I have wondered about that. Some jobs I think make you die from within even if they are only 9to5. One buddy of mine had a govt job and complained about it everyday… it made him toxic. He eventually left but took waaaay to long.

Sounds like there is no good answer but a start maybe simplify your lifestyle and talk to your current employer about working 32 hours per week. Most likely they will say no and you will need to jump ship. This is a great time to find freel

I think they are doing the right near term but not long term. For the very reason wireless charging is in its infancy they should get in front of it. They will be back at square one doing the same thing with wireless chargers in 5 years unl

Charging efficiency, speed, and reliability will get better. Wireless debugging will get better and we will forget it was ever buggy. We will have plates attached to a cable we can attach (magnetic) when we need to charge a drained battery

They should drop the cable all together and just do wireless charging? Yes, a lot of wireless plate chargers will need to be put in place but I think it will be a better future rather than cables.

I hear you. Management is one of those areas I have come to truly appreciate. I just dont think a stint will get you what you need. I guess it depends what is meant by a stint. 6 months - 1 year? I dont think its enough. Your just getting s

I completely disagree. Consulting is not for everyone and like everything you get out what you put in. Why I went into consulting - I was working hard as ever, it’s my nature and I love what I do. - My pay was average - My projects looked a

I think it depends how long the vacation? A month long vacation for me always helps when I find myself becoming overly negative. Edit* Should add, a lot has to do with your attitude. Some things won’t change and fighting then just makes you

It’s a fad. Give it some time… it’s not the first layer on top of JavaScript someone has come up with. Microsoft drops project all the time- this is a stunt on their part to attract devs and it’s actually working for now.

Is typescript really that great? Every implementation I have seen has 1 - Work-arounds for interoperability with non typescript / legacy third party dependencies. (issue: ugly, non consistent code) 2 - Turn off strict type checking due

I agree with you but we need to re-think education. The current education system is not working in general. Class rooms are over crowded and not enough teachers. A pre-recorded video you can pause and rewind would be more beneficial than be

Public school is broken and we all know it - in general. We need competent administrators, more teachers and smaller classes. Parents need more time to teach their children what is not and should not be taught at school. Kudos to parents wh

Same could be said for a manager.. or a manager that gets bad devs or devs that get a bad manager. This is the value of a hands-on ceo that does not have their head in the sand.
