Googling around I see rumor of a 10-15% take rate on the camry v6. Toyota sold about 430k camrys in the US last year, so that would mean about 43k - 65k. Which is 3-4 times the number of EVs sold that year.

Lots of people seem to be complaining about the lack of a RAM upgrade to more than 16gb, and lack of an nvidia GPU for cuda.

True, but then you can sell it and potentially have enough money to live out the rest of your days (or a significant portion of them). There was a comment I read here recently about how a mortgage is in some ways a vehicle for forced saving

I get where you're coming from. Here's how I see it: No one's really invested in keeping Mars a wasteland, and there are a lot of very powerful people invested in activities that are destroying Earth.

Not sure what counts as an "established link", but that doesn't mean there is no evidence, or that such a link is a "myth". Check this out: http://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/exd.12

These days there are workarounds to avoiding a lot of xml configuration in the java ecosystem (although you end up with a decent amount of annotations). Spring boot is a great example of this.
