I switched to Colemak "cold turkey" last year and I couldn't be happier now that the transition is complete. I too never got as fast as I did with qwerty but it's so much more comfortable that I don't care. I probab

I’ve never quite found anything that stuck but I’m having a good run with Emacs and Org. I’ve bound an AppleScript to f3 that copies a link to the currently selected email in mail.app. Being able to link to mail.app from org is pretty cool.

I've dealt with this quite a lot in the last couple years and what I do now is not engage with the supplier on their terms. I live in the UK though which has reasonably strong consumer protection laws so companies can't just take

I’ve written software like this for as long as I can remember but I don’t remember ever learning it or being taught. It’s always just seemed like easiest way to compartmentalise complexity.

If you haven’t yet developed your emacs muscle memory I would suggest remapping your keyboard to swap the left-control and caps-lock keys. Your pinky will thank you. In macOS you can do this by going to Settings->Keyboard->Keyboard Sh

Maybe this wouldn't matter to a lot of people but the M2 Pro Mini has HDMI 2.1 while the M1 Studio does not. You need HDMI 2.1 to get more than 60hz out of a 4k monitor.
