Thanks for going into detail regarding your "wildly unpopular" opinion although I suspect it isn't quite so unpopular outside California. I can understand the value in certain circumstances of having a dress code or uniform,

I suffer from this. I try to make sure I don’t get caught in a cycle of staying up late to make up for the lack of productivity that day. Instead I’ll get to sleep early and try to wake up feeling good the next day.

I’ve been using a 12 inch MacBook for the last four years and it’s got one of the keyboards that no one seems to like. However if I hadn’t read it here I wouldn’t have thought there was anything wrong with it and most of my job involves typ

I've looked for something like this for years now; thanks so much for doing this. Out of curiosity how do plan on keeping it up to date? It seems like a gargantuan task.

I’m not sure which BBS system had this, I think it was Wildcat or WWIV, but if you typed something like %pw in a post other users would see their own password leading to a situation like hunter2.

I think there is also a difference between apologising while feeling guilt or shame, and apologising and acknowledging that you’ve inconvenienced someone without any of the guilt or shame attached.

I think in some ways the author is on their way to making a greater point about making mistakes without quite hitting the nail on the head. Guilt and shame are the enemy of responsibility and those who seek to inflict guilt and shame are to

You make a good point about providing context to people added to the thread later, but it would still only provide partial context because people don't always reply to the most recent email in a thread. Also it's quite common for

What's worse is that almost no one prunes the quoted emails, so you end up with extraordinarily long emails with a bunch of useless quoted text, most of which are signatures and legal disclaimers, repeated endlessly. I've given up

Apple isn’t close to having a monopoly in anything. So there isn’t any action that regulators could block which would prevent a monopoly. Also all the markets that Apple are involved in are highly competitive. Computers, mobile phones, tabl
