We are partly constructed through society. This is the nature vs nurture debate all over again, many decades after psychologists moved on.

Increased availability of information. It is far harder now to control the flow of information, as some Middle Eastern leaders discovered in 2011, and a short while later the various democracies of the world. Consider a little the meaning o

Given that I have wrestled with 2) in a different context, I'm quite interested in hearing the various (hopefully realistic) methods to address it. Actually serious.

All code is compiled to its final machine-code form at start-up, so there's no warm-up. It's closer to an AOT compiler than most JITs.

The question was regarding N+1. If you're not careful with ActiveRecord, you get that. With Ecto, it's impossible. Ecto has its own drawbacks, but its strong suit is predictability.

No doubt, but that is tangential to what the S-400 is claimed to do, and if you don't mind me being blunt: neither us, nor any Russian forum goers, know if the S-400 is actually reasonably effective against LO aircraft. Maybe not even

The S-500 is meant more for ICBMs and cruise missiles. The S-400 variant is claimed to be effective against LO aircraft, but since only Russia, China and Turkey operate the things, we cannot say either way. We definitely cannot claim it

That's one reason why search and targeting radars are not the same thing. Missiles are fired (and aircraft are sent) in the general area of the detected aircraft, where they'll pick up the enemy aircraft on X-band more easily. And
