Well maybe not in 1999. Adwords didn't launch until 2000? Google's 1999 revenue was...... I forget, but it was incredibly small. Costs were also incredibly small too though, so this isn't a good analogy given the stated yea

Vanguard, Bank of America, and a tiny handful of others do support hardware tokens. But yea you're right that most don't. Not that it would help in this specific case I guess.

I wish that the remake focused on the new bureaucracy stuff (or even new technical stuff), instead of being a near 1-for-1 rehash of the old one. E.g. it's not like anyone is being recommended to serve out of a bigtable for the last d

I gotta say, of all the corpo speak things, the whole verb/noun normalizing thing is maybe the least distasteful to me. Not that I particularly like it, but compared to all the other stuff it at least seems tolerable. The penchant for

It's not insurmountable to set up initially. And when you get email denied from whatever org (your lawyer, your mom, some random business, whatever), each individual one isn't insurmountable to fix. It does get old after awhile.

So if we're doing anecdotes... One of our parents pays about $20k/yr all in for ACA - $12k/yr of premiums and $8k/yr on top of that (all unsubsidized) Her (also unsubsidized) Medicare would be $6.5k/yr partA premium

GP is pointing out that Medicare costs for the individual are about the same as ACA or cobra. It's not cheaper, unless you have the work credits to cut down on part A premiums. So Medicare as-is for kids wouldn't be significantly

$3M translates to indefinite-ish (handwaving) expenditures of about $70k-$120k per year depending on tax rate, etc. In the US, that covers unsubsidized healthcare for two people ($30k-$40k/yr range), rent in a 2-3BR, and like a decent
