Then I recommend M-x report-emacs-bug The emacs developers will be very interested to hear about it.

If you use it for a while you get used to it. It's just another programming language.

People who don't know how to program emacs don't get how easy it is to write some code in it to make your life easier. Some say Atom and VSCode also have plugins. That's true, but can you write code to extend some VSCode func

Microsoft is still an American company if the cloud servers are in Canada. Can't the US government tell Microsoft to hand over the data (which MS can fetch remotely) if it needs it for some terrorist investigation?

May be of interest: The author creates small wrappers to kill processes, search files, etc. The concept could be extended to recognize certain object types. E.g. if you select some files with search then you could choose from a list of oper

I'm not familiar with the scene. Are the speedrunners mostly kids with lots of free time? This hobby must be time consuming. Or are there also hardcore older gamers among them, who started playing in the 80s, 90s and they have jobs, fa

I don't know the exact temp of course, but it felt very cold. Like sweater temperature and in 20C I don't wear sweater.

Plenty of such block of flats have AC these days. Lots of people installed ACs in the last several years, since the extreme summer heats became the norm.

I don't get it either. Anyone has an explanation? Why is it good if it's so cold inside you have to wear a sweater?

Not the US, but I was in Canada once as a tourist and on a hot day I went into several stores for things. The air conditioning was on everywhere which is OK, but it was set so cold, that I was freezing in my T-shirt. I don't know if it

It's strange that a rich area can't take care of this problem. E.g. supporting the homeless some way, cleaning them up and helping them to find some job and housing.

As the sibling comment says you should try editing remote files with the editor running on your computer. Tramp provides this transparently for Emacs. You don't have to manually log in to edit remote files.
