You could also see a price drop for many reasons - increased supply [which is happening], failed IPOs, reduced incomes etc. Last year, a ton of apartment supply came on the market, with 10K units in Oakland alone

Weirdly, I put my place up for rent in South Bay in April and got 10 applications in 5 days without any tours. So there is still underlying demand in the market

This is an amazing response. Thank you. I might also add that income equality in America is at peak, and as COVID laid bare America has no clothes, were most people are 1 Paycheck away from bankruptcy, while billionaires are still winning f

So, there you go. This explains it. Police now has the license for whatever because battle formation is needed. That's what they needed to do to pin down George Floyd. Teach others a lesson

There is more outrage in this thread about some Twitter policy than the dead black man and the racist president inciting violence on Americans.

That is literally not true. Reddit has removed many many outright racist and far right forums.

Yes, double standard to protect Trump. Who has for years twitted violent stuff, racist stuff, and Twitter had let it slide. I don't get this weird victim mentality of Trump folks. Trump has been treated with kid gloves by Twitter. Mean

Selective enforcement happens everywhere in the internet. For example if you go to T_D in Reddit, they will absolutely delete any anti-Trump posts. Does this mean Reddit is influencing elections ?

Twitter has literally bend over backwards for Trump. They have said that they will not remove him not matter how much he violates their ToS. If even after that it is seen as "silencing their voice", you know it is a bad faith argu

Twitter regularly hides violent tweets. It is just algo based and nothing to do with conservatives. I mean, it may seem biased if conservatives are posting a lot of violent tweets

100k Americans are dead from COVID. There are riots happening in Minnesota. And here we are debating the latest oxygen sucking attention grab by our reality TV president. Let's ignore him

I don't understand this point. This is not thoughtful legislation being debated. This is one guy writing some executive order out of spite, which will soon be reversed by the.courts

Can someone just give me a magic potion where I don't have to hear about Trump and his daily antics anymore ? This guy sucks the oxygen out of everything without adding any value to humanity

I wish we could just all tune Trump out. In this 75 years of existence his contribution to humanity is a big fat zero. His tweets are useless, only exist to peddle conspiracy theory, to deflect, to self congratulate and to rile up his base.

Republicans have a long history of voter fraud. Here's an example from North Carolina https://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-election-north-caroli... Based, on this, Republicans cannot be trusted to hold impartial

You could literally make the same argument about in person voting. How hard is it to get a fake id ? How about hacking ballot machines ? How about compromised ballot counters ? Yet, there is this weird focus on mailed ballots, which really

California has been running absentee ballots for a long time. Are you saying all of them had "substantial fraud" ? If so, why didn't the President, who had control of 3 branches of govt and had a commission to prove election

Huge opportunity to differentiate yourself as an employer. There is a vast swath of talent, as evidenced in the multiple WFH threads, that vastly prefers WFO. I would absolutely love to work in a place where my entire team is co-located.

I suspect it is. During COVID, companies need to say a lot of things. But FB has spent serious $$$ on building amazing campuses. Also, Zuck was a firm believer in office space and open office. I doubt he has had a revalation suddenly
