In Soviet Russia there were perhaps additional goals for this idea (religion, less integrated familial units, divide and conquer). But I wonder if a more enlightened society that doesn't have those additional goals could make this work

France has approximately the same population as the Northeast megalopolis (the Boston–Washington Corridor) but the French population is spread out over three times the area.

Hi Ben! At the React conference, I asked Sebastian Markbåge (also a React author) why `PureComponent` wasn't the default and he said there were already too many new concepts when React was released, and it would have made adoption hard

Right on. Flexport definitely has few custom rules that address things that would be better solved by nicer abstractions. One great thing about lint rules though is that it's usually pretty easy to apply them to all existing code. That
