Kind of interested in what this means for a non Facebook user. As one of those I already feel sometimes marginalised when content is shared on their walled garden and I need my wife to look at the dates for my kids’ sporting events because

In defence of museums (who in my experience working with them for ~20 years) aren't like this at all - this is probably more a case of hitting up the wrong person at what is after all an enormous organisation...

Stunning work, huge kudos to you, not just on concept but great execution/UI etc. My 14yo son is the most ridiculously keen space nut (the only teenager I know with a pdf of the Apollo manual on his phone) - he’s going to be very excit

I'm just over a year into it. I'm going to write this up in more detail at some point but broadly my strategy has been: 1) Keep a smartphone without a SIM in it at home on wifi for banking / 2FA / etc 2) Move everything

Completely agree - with this and previous couple of comments. The frustration for me is not that it can / can’t be done, it’s the fact that developers and content people are still (I’m 20+ years in the web industry and this was a probl

It's an interesting piece, and lots of good reasons to "go static". But. They're developer reasons. What almost everyone who piles into this support of static stuff seems to completely ignore is the audience here. Wh

An archive, you own it, etc... Also you can choose on a post by post basis to publish to Medium or not, and to different publications there, so you could have your site as a hub holding all your stuff and niche audiences on your Medium pubs

There's quite a lot of mileage in what this guy says, and the "content behind walled garden" thing pisses us all off (I'm a non-Facebooker for All The Usual Reasons and have the same response whenever I see stuff "p
