One of the main learnings in a meditative practice circles around this, and actually even more so in MBSR (Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction), an 8-week evidence-backed programme of approaches to life stress / pain. The common misconc

Yeh, came here to say this. I love RSS, it is such a nice balance of enabling me to keep up with stuff but under my own terms and at my own speed. It feels very much like an alive protocol to me, and more in need than ever before given the

I'm probably alone in thinking home automation is a tremendous waste of time. I think there's maybe one exception, and that's being able to switch on heating remotely, which is actually useful. The rest is IMO gratuitous nerd

Bugs me when people use divs to do tabular data display when there’s a perfectly excellent <table> tag. Copy pasting div based tabular data from a web page into a spreadsheet or document is made nightmarish. For layouts, sure, use f

The other easier option (although doesn't solve the sunshine problem..) is moving out of cities into rural areas. Very few cameras where we live in Cornwall.

My context: 49y/o. Salary: we have a 2-person husband/wife micro-business so "it's complicated" but I pay us £5k GBP ($6.3k usd) p/m so that's ~$80k take-home p/a. Working hours: absolute max 40 (alth

I've taken a different angle. I work in a non-aggressive sector. It's very niche - my sector is museum technology - but I'd imagine it holds true for other non-profits. Sounds weird that I can generalise like this but I'
