Not expressing an opinion is the missing skill many people need to learn, particularly on social media where the medium is doing all it can to encourage people to get involved. Being able to say “I just don’t know” or “I don’t have the nece

We use JustWatch[0]. It's good for keeping a "want to watch" list and also tells you which of your services has which films at any one time. [0] https://www.justwatch.com/

Been a runner for 30+ years. I love it. I've got 5 bits of advice for anyone starting out. Firstly, just go. As the old trope says, the hardest bit is the distance between couch and front door. Don't even think about it, don'

I use Obsidian[0] - but find the mobile app a bit clunky for quick thoughts. So I have Craft[1] which is lovely and I was using as a temporary home for "just thought of thing" type ideas. But - someone recently pointed me to Quick

I use Craft for this. Short term notes or stuff like receipt scans. Then (where relevant) I copy paste into Obsidian for longer term linking or whatever

Surely this is all some kind of Christmas comedy pantomime where there will be some huge reveal at some point. It's so far beyond anything even vaguely sane, it's tragic.

Super great, lovely idea! Only comment is that you've got discrete notes in there by the sound of it? Could you make it entirely analogue per a real trombone? Sounds a bit jarring jumping from note to note... But. Great.

Chat is one thing. Obtrusive chat is another. Bot chat is a sort of pinnacle of shitness that eclipses all others. When companies do chat and it actually helps the user, all good. When it's done entirely to help the company by reducing

Eldest son (17) and all his mates use it - very rarely do they post publicly, it's purely for messaging. I've never been sure why, there's plenty enough alternatives, but that's how it is for him and his cohort.

Hey - I didn't necessarily mean making one that works financially. Just for showing a few examples that you can get started with. If the marketing page had like 5-10 simple examples next to their source code and a link to try them then

I like it, really cool idea - but you badly need a catalogue of some kind. Even just a set of links to example widgets on your website that the first time user can copy and paste would do it - better would be something searchable in the app

Try TickTick? I've run with pretty much all the to-do apps over the years but TT has nailed it for me. Calendar integration, kanban view, tags, lists, markdown, etc etc

Someone posted delta chat[0] on here a while back. Basically chat that is email. Or maybe email that is chat. It struck me as a clever idea at the time and got me thinking whether you could make a social network entirely out of email. Sound

It just seems obvious to me: there are times in your life and working life when you bust your balls to get X done. You do what it takes, and you set your own limits for what this is. The limits are set by age, experience, work type, etc. Bu

The issue with forms is twofold. The first is the UI - the design, logic, etc. Any reasonable form builder will give you this. The bigger issue is the deliverability aspect. This to me is the killer. Having to setup all the stuff around ema
