Do you have a source I can read? All I see on Google are random blog posts mostly debunking that idea. Profit margins on API tokens isn't the same as running a profitable long term business, or bringing returns on the large amount of f

This isn't the TV news era. If you're into learning science you're not limited to choosing between the Michio Kaku or Neil deGrasse Tyson types. Same with finance and economics or any other topic.

Always been a bit wary of Patrick. He reminds me of those people who in the 1990s/2000s would have become professional talking head guests on CNN. The older ex-academic/ex-industry guys who knew how to spin popular news stories in

It indexes the code efficiently, seems to find stuff quicker, it has a very nice UI (much better than Claude Codes IMO), it has a nice sub-agent UX which I find triggers more reliably, diffs render nicely. Otherwise it just seems to work in

I'm not surprised to also see Cursor above Claude code, their harness is very good.

Same, I also found the theming didn't solve the UI issues with zed, where everything seems to blend together. Meanwhile I found Cursor managed to improve upon the base VSCode theme where I never felt the need to switch it.

Yes that's been obvious since the beginning. That's why you should always monitor your agents closely. Just like supervised self driving cars, you have to watch the road and do some hand holding. The tooling around isolation, log

Yeah I don't care to use Grok's chat and find @grok responses on X mostly noise. I am still open to using it as a backup model for coding though, assuming it does a good job for the price. But mostly because I was already a Cursor

Agreed but there were similar controversies with how OpenAI was generating images. The only pass is these are the early days of chatbots and this stuff is so non-deterministic and experimental. For context, this was the change Grok's t

These system prompts are not the only safety layer that these models use. There's other more deterministic filters in place both on input and (streaming) output.

MechaHitler was something that existed only on X's grok chatbot, due to a one-line system prompt change they reverted after half a day. That's different than using Grok as a model for coding.

X has gone harder on login gating than the old Twitter they adopted for sure. Reddit also started going in this direction. Instagram has had it for a long time. I suspect selling APIs for AI is playing a big role in that. Reddit locked down
