For one side it's an existential question, the other side its just a rounding error.. There is no explicit loss of value for Google, they save money + get more chrome users.. Now if MS comes into play or are already playing in the back

I don't have specific views on what they've written.. but 90% of donations to Firefox come from Google. The 3 year contract ends in 2023.. If Google decides to not fund it next year it's bad management on FFs part. Putting al

What George is saying makes total sense. Why I had commented on your post was I couldn't understand your reasoning that somehow relativity and the 2 bombs couldn't have happened without each other I found that quite bizarre..

How much are you going to regulate and stop? Game engines currently give photorealistic realtime content.. stop unreal and metahumans too? What about v6 of unreal? What if this same repo was owned by Nvidia and it had some commercial intere

DDG is very nice -- I was pleasantly surprised, I wanted a few images in a python script a while back.. get the library, run all the searches you want, save images.. haven't looked but I just assume, Google won't let you do it and

I get surprised by so many AI startups using discord as their product interface. First time I saw it used, I was like, don't you have enough funds to build your own interface? Still find it jarring to go from a slick looking site to a

A100 costs 10-12k USD 40GB/80GB vram and it's not even targeted at the individual gamer (not effective at gaming) -- they don't even give these things to big YouTube reviewers(LTT). So 4k people will be hard to find. 3090, yo

I pay for jetbrains and GitHub co-pilot from my pocket I find it totally worth it. I think they must have been hesitant in asking for money. Copilot was free for 3 months and then paid.

I mean he could have watched 2 videos of the LPL channel as research and he'd know better that not all locks can be just opened by a rake tool..

LockPickingLawyer is very skilled, but the tools he used in this video were basic, a wave rake only - definitely a low skill attack. He did it 4 times in a span of 3 mins, while still reviewing the lock..

What I meant to say was, there needs to be a cut-off point for company responsibility. Agree, there should be other alternatives to SMS incase a user get locked out.

Fair enough, but, you then have the problem of not being able to cater to people with feature phones. I think a combined email or SMS based options solve most problem cases. I don't understand the hate for SMS, like "how are these

I don't doubt your claim, I think it's more common to have ID verification across the world. That aside, I think at one point if people make dumb choices, they're screwed, can't do anything about it..

"People losing access to their phone is a scenario and puts users at significant risk of losing access to key accounts" You'd go to your network provider, show ID and in hours you have your SIM back. What is this hyperbole..?

The moment you are impersonating Google and your competitors, it's very clearly in fraud/criminal behaviour territory. No serious business will even consider doing something like this.
