Every local municipality already maintains GIS data, I imagine that some day these systems will automatically integrate into a public, open database like OSM. Sidenote, the FOAM project is doing some interesting work into geospacial data on

Once my 2015 MBP dies, I'll probably replace it with the most maxed-out refurbished 2015 MBP I can find. It's the perfect laptop.

Interesting metaphor, but the difference between Bitcoin and diamonds is fungibility. Unlike gold, there's no way to sell 1% of a diamond.

Don't forget about Podil, where they closed off a major 4-lane street permanently. Now the street is full of outdoor seating for restaurants and cafes, and it's always busy with people. I wish more American politicians would visit

While Bulgaria is part of the EU, it's not part of the Schengen zone, meaning they don't have truly "open borders".

Even worse: Google stole my idea for self driving cars. I was like " it would be cool if cars drove themselves" and sure enough, Google copies me. Do you think I have grounds for a lawsuit?

I'm glad I'm not the only software engineer that can't figure out how to use AWS. So far, DigitalOcean does everything that I need. I hope they can maintain this great developer experience.
