I think physics is ripe for a revolution. We know Einstein's theories are incompatible with Quantum Mechanics but the path to reconciliation is not obvious or it would have been done already. Its unlikely to come from inside the profes

If the govt keeps "printing" credit-money it won't be long before the $100 note replaces the $1 note anyway. I am opposed to this plan but I do support dropping the penny, round all prices to the nearest 5c.

P1: That was my fault, I didn't state that clearly. I should have said "The valid principles of induction define that line..." We have the principles of deduction that tell us when something is false but we are missing the

Popper just codified the current state of logic in his "paradigm" of how science works and his principle of falsifiability. We can prove something unequivocally false because of Aristotle's principle of non-contradiction but

While the author postures as an advocate of science she is in fact aiding and abetting the rejection of the Western (scientific) World View and ironically using modern science to do so. You cannot just dispense with the (Aristotelian) princ

This is really an excellent essay if you have any interest in AI and the view that it is a philosophic problem (more specifically, epistemology) and not a technology or engineering problem. My only comment is that Deutsch assumes that Popp

This dichotomy is why modern physics is stuck. VR is forcing programmers to question the fundamental concepts while implementing (i.e. using) them in a discrete, non-infinity context.
