Er, no? A program designed mostly to enrich automakers that had little or even negative environmental effect? Why would I love that?

That's right. It's definitely those darn environmental regulations. Nothing at all to do with short-term profits and MBA-syndrome.

Ah - I have probably listened to maybe 8-10 audiobooks and all ones that have been recommended to me as excellent. I guess I just assumed that that’s what audiobooks are like, which I guess doesn’t make sense.

That's utterly insane. 32 million horsepower is ~24 gigawatts. That's roughly the same power as ALL OF CALIFORNIA.

Er, what? Without even trying hard I get (according to the typing.com 1 minute test) 58 wpm on my phone - and that's without using swiping or autocompletion.

(self-reply) This is basically the Microsoft Word bloat problem. NOBODY needs all the features, but everyone has 10 niche features they want, and nobody wants the same 10. So to get 10 niche features, you accept bloat.

The one thing that keeps me on iTerm2 is Edit->Selection Respects Soft Boundaries. "When enabled, vertical lines of pipe characters | will be interpreted as pane dividers (as in vim or emacs) and selection will wrap at them."

I don't understand what the issue is. You don't know how to type the different diacritical marks? Or the textbox isn't accepting them? (Which seems like it would be a browser issue, not an issue with the site.)

When we're talking about evolution (of something like a human, not a bacterium or fruit fly) you can basically ignore anything that's happened in the last 25,000 years as an irrelevant blink-of-the-eye, timescale-wise. Last 100 ye

That was probably true in homebrew’s first year. At this point I would be shocked if more than a fraction of a percent of homebrew users have ever even heard of macports or fink.
