Yeah that is probably more accurate. It’s not like this is a principled attack on cost centers. They are going after liberal institutions.

Jesus. I remember libertarians saying “I want to get rid of X and Y, but obviously not libraries.” In other words we are now living in the most extremist libertarian fantasy.

Has anyone compared Perplexity with Kagi Assistant? I am always looking for Perplexity alternatives. I already pay for Kagi and would be happy to upgrade to the ultimate plan if it truly can replace Perplexity.

I remember going to some sort of BBQ YC hosted years ago. Michael went up on stage and talked, with exasperation, about their heroic efforts to keep Socialcam up as it skyrocketed. Seems like a good guy.

Can someone explain why someone would switch from GH Copilot to Cursor? I’ve been happy mixing Perplexity + GH Copilot but I can’t miss all the Cursor hubbub.

I'd be tempted, but the MacBook Air M1 still kicks ass. I don't care if this is 2x faster. The M1 is still very fast.

San Francisco is just so beautiful. There's a serenity to it that I can't quite put my finger on. The way the fog waterfalls over the hills when you take the train in from the south... the view from Sutro. The gum tree trove near

I am just praying for the day that Musk takes on the Pentagon. They will destroy him. (There's a reason Bannon is egging him on to do it.) And if they don't... well, Pentagon is one agency where we know the financial inefficienc

They don’t have to pay for licenses for open models. Although I’m not sure if Meta’s licenses have some sort of restriction on who can use it.
