I haven't dug into Mousetrap, but I made Keypress because I needed/wanted the arbitrary modifiers and counting combos features which mousetrap does not have (and also Mousetrap hadn't been released yet when I started work on this). Keypress

This looks really exciting. This seems more like what I wanted easel.io to be. I had actually started working on a simple html/css in-browser editor to use for mocks that could be taken into production, but looks like this might be what I w

It appears that where he is going is only as far as a small blog stylesheet. I appreciate his argument about context being important in styling, but it creates a very fragile stylesheet that could crumble with a simple change of the context

The author was referring to contrarian anecdotes in reply to statistical data, not someone's opinion. - He is only arguing that there is universal truth in proxy by arguing that the scientific method is more valuable than anecdotal evidence

Did anyone else find it strange that Ruby only beat Python and PHP in the median range? On both ends Python and PHP are both quite faster. I don't really know how to read this thing, but I feel like this title is probably misleading?

VC's aren't buying into an idea. They're buying into talent and a vision. If Pinwheel succeeds, that does not mean that SkyChalk would have succeeded.

I would expect the opposite to happen. What you just described is exactly why sales work. An item is perceived as being better because of it's price, but hey look, I've been lucky enough to get it for less than it's worth. I imagine this wi

Does anyone else have a lot of trouble getting logged in? I don't just mean that the form doesn't provide any feedback, but that even after logging in (I just reset my password and successfully logged in), when I go back to a petition page

The debugging problem is definitely the biggest strike against CS, so it's weird that most of the article focuses on stylistic options (all those parens, brackets, and ampersands are optional!). I'm still feeling CS out in terms of what sty

Wow, lots of doom and gloom on here. As someone who doesn't use AdBlock Plus (not particularly to support websites, but that does factor in) I think this is move should be applauded. They continue to serve their customers with the same prod

Seems like a good way to do some experiments with what catches people's eyes and how much they're willing to pay for a white noise generator. If Apple's going to let him do it, more power to him.

He makes a great point in favor of CoffeeScript: making your JavaScript look nice takes much more work without CS. The fact that he is lining up the multi-line string line breaks says loads about how CS will more easily make your JavaScript

I'm using my MBA (no upgrades, lowest end model) for my daily routine as a designer, and it's holding up perfectly well. I am mostly just running Photoshop, Illustrator, Textmate, and a few browsers. Hell, I was even able to play Portal 2 o

It looks like they wanted to simply flatten the Chrome logo, but the gradients radically change it from a sphere with a central "node" facing us to an unappealing doughnut shape with some sort of "nipple" in the center. And while the gloss
