Why do browsers punish non-verified certs much harder than no-cert? If I want to quickly host my page and use encryption, then I have go through all that hustle to make it work. Perhaps allow use of self-signed certificates on same level as

Attempts to decentralize are so decentralized. Still only TOR and Eth are somewhat functioning. Let's see what Telegram Open Network will offer.

Only Mac and iOS (and sometimes Linux) guys pay premium for software. Windows and Android users only pay for games, sadly.

This list looks more like what programmers care about as end users. Average users prefer WhatsApp and Instagram over good messengers. I honestly don't know why such bad software is still relevant.

What I'm thrilled to see is an optimization of binary sizes in compilers and libraries. Maybe <1MB native apps will become common (or few MB of code for single webpage will become standard)

Telegram might be convenient, it's a middle ground between bloated Facebook things and "geeky" apps like Signal (I don't dislike it, but it's just unpopular).

You can't ride on ice and snow unless you have fancy bike and tires. You will sweat unless you only drive plane roads. Wind and snow make it much harder to ride. Most people will just give up on riding in winter the first time they try

It's even harder to understand this width advance of modern web technologies. In 90th you had single channel to download unoptimized GIFs and websites used to be built from these images. Now you bundle, minify and gzip all these styles
