I also find the GPD pocket hugely desirable (as someone who grew up on the greatness of Psion organisers, Nokia communicators, N900 etc..), but I'm surprised you'd use it as a laptop replacement - surely too small? My preference f

Can anyone tell me how secure web browsers are on linux generally. I was looking at the pwn2own results and was quite impressed with the edge compromise that got out of the host OS it was running in. However, I didn't see any web bro

The latest macbook pros essentially don't work well with linux. I think wifi isn't a solved issue still, for example.

I don't see how Apple makes use of that power. After experiencing the general slickness of the pixel and it's awesome HDR abilities, then observing the iPhone calculator input/ animation lag, I would say that extra power isn

Interesting. I've worked at a few hospitals in the UK (not in IT) and all of them do a generator test one a week. However they do it, only one of them lost all power (for a couple of seconds) every week. It was quite disruptive, but

It worries me when I read an article like this, then see people in the comments suggesting that they're stopping their PPI prescription. Which ironically might increase their chance of cancer, depending on the indication. Even at the

I guess that's what happens when you give autonomy to trusts to commission/contract their IT as they see fit. You could argue it is part of a political movement to create a free market around healthcare, which has seen healthcare

People should know that Ubuntu-mate with mutiny layout is an alternative for some. Unlike 17.10, it keeps the global menus and HUD, but not the launcher (uses synapse instead).
