Not the OP so I'm just speculating, but being able to "mount" content-addressable blobs into different locations in the resulting rootfs would enable more incrementality and sharing of blobs. With a flat list, the same logica

I (successfully) interviewed with 'emmett at some point at twitch in 2011 or 2012. I didn't end up taking the offer and I don't remember the exact question, but I have a positive memory of the overall experience. I don't

I started and work on the minikube project as part of my full time job. It's developed completely on GitHub, and I manage two other engineers working on it full-time. github.com/kubernetes/minikube

Check out minikube: github.com/kubernetes/minikube It's a local setup to let you give Kubernetes a try. We haven't made it the default in the "give it a try" dialog yet, but we're considering it. Disclosur

They don't conflict as far as I can tell! I use Docker for Mac and the xhyve driver simultaneously. Disclosure: I work for Google, on Minikube.

We mainly use the VM to provide a well-known and tested environment for Kubernetes to run in. Running inside a Docker container on Linux would have similar benefits, but there are still a few bugs with running some of the Kubernetes compone
