IntelliJ vs Textmate for Java development. The advantage of IntelliJ is pretty obvious, refactoring tools are probably #1. However that is not to say that TM will fall short. Also I would like to be able to use the power of TM + Vim all in

So heres an interesting point: 1) No Twitter/FB integration. Yes, you want this NOT using your mobile data. You just need that msg sent ASAP with minimal overhead so that the message has the highest chance of getting out there. Also proably

Ok for me, storing an encrypted password that is reversible is the same thing as storing a plaintext password. Means that people at least in their company can see my PW. Which means that if I used same PW as my email, they have it. Lets tak

I have to correct a few other things in his post. a) There are shittons of frameworks for Ruby. Rails is definitely not the only one, its just most popular. Most good libraries are framework indepenedent and have plugins into that framework

My only bit of advice from all this is to try to get support from your parents. Tell them how you feel. Tell them how they make you feel. Ask them for some support while you try to get back on ur feet. I don't know where you live, but here

Joke attempt. Men who are good at picking up women may be the best advisers for men looking to pick up women, while women may indicate what they'd like to see from a guy but their advise may not be the best advise in how to pick up women. E

See the construction plans for a high-speed train from staten island to manhattan (nyc). It should make going from SI -> Manhattan take about 20-30 mintues saving an average commuter about 20-40 minutes per ride. Gets a ton of cars off

I just calculated the cost of me owning my car. I don't commute to work via car, I pay a bit under 300/mo pre-tax for an express bus to/from work at about 25-45 minute ride. My wife has been doing bike commuting to work whenever possible. H

I was considering filming an episode of "the hackers" in which we do a reality show following some hardcore hackers as they solve mind-boggling problems. The show will mostly involve people sitting at the computer typing.
