Except the Linux Kernel technically does have a code of conduct, it's just called the Code of Conflict, and while it basically states they'll deal with problems on a case-by-case basis, it does explicitly give people a way to air

What exactly is bad about a code of conduct? Yes, they can get overly complex, and aren't always perfect, but 99% of the time, a formalized code of conduct is just a way of saying don't be a dick, and if you're a dick, here&#

Not in finance they're not. Finance wants the best interns who can actually perform at least some work, and doesn't want to get busted for breaking employment law in regards to unpaid interns.

I disagree. Maybe because I don't exclusively do web development, but I find I'm significantly more productive with on monitor than two. I switched from a 15" thinkpad to a 13" mackbook pro about a year ago, and even jus

I've got an Arch image on my MBP, it's just as simple to setup as it sounds, just load the iso and follow the installation steps based on the distro. You may need to install some virtualbox drivers, but that's not difficult.

Laws against gay marriage actively restrict freedoms, if you can somehow make a counter argument specifically specifically related to freedoms, please try.

While it worked acceptably for three years, I gave up on my Thinkpad W520 this summer and switched to a Macbook Pro. Partly it was due to size (going from a bulky 15" to a really slim 13" computer is awesome), and partly it was du

It just seems like a stretch to me that they'd be able to string an author along for five years after being given the final draft. After a year without progress I feel like most authors would try another publisher.
