You only lose type safety if you're writing generic containers. If you don't need a customStack or something similar you'll be fine. While I think it's good to know how to write containers, and how they work, how frequen

I had to change the font because the file wasn’t loading... I'm not sure if there were any confessions. It was basically a "hey, you should try out Go. Maybe. If you want. I like it…" kind of post.

The problem I see is that most people don't really look beyond the current political parties in their immediate vicinity (IE: those campaigning near them presently). This leads to people really only seeing the American Libertarian move

Yes, because I didn't take the OP as saying that those were though-crimes. The way I took it was more that because those ideas are a hindrance and harmful to moving a society forwards. I believe that people should be free to have those

Come now. The Star Trek movie curse is somewhat true, at least for movies two through eight. Each odd numbered movie (in the set) has a worse all time domestic ranking than the following even numbered movie (in the set). There is at lease s

A public company's only goal is to create value for its share holders. While I personally believe things should be different, they aren't. A company that doesn't make money is useless to it's shareholders, and typically

Right, you would look at similar things that your potential carpenter has built. You would also try to do that with programmers. But a good deal of the things programmers built are team built, or proprietary, it's difficult to know wha

There are lots of CS students who haven't learnt to "think better". They can type out symbols, and know what those symbols mean individually, but they can't combine them in meaningful ways without lots of prompting.

I cite a host of CS students that I've tutored who have "learned to program" (as in, they know what the symbols mean, and if given prompting can write them), but can't think logically. They can write code, but not by the
