In regards to the KPIs this is a known reality. Most states get money from the federal gov highway safety program. Then the states disburse it to local police depts, and the expect high numbers of citations (or even warnings) to be reported

Similar to the butterfly effect in a way. Looking at a regression model as an example in equation form: Y = a + bX + e Some "proportion" of a phenomenon is understood. However, many things are not immediately understood but only s

For me I think that value arises in a nihilistic world when regardless of what individuals actually do, over time we move further into chaotic outcomes, or that things gradually get more harmonious (less conflict and negative externalities)

Do you have any collection of your thinking online? I also noticed that beyond nihilism is where I began to think about these ideas. The problem for me is the thoughts are so hard to condense. One benefit of this stuff you're talking a

I have thought similar thoughts for a while to what I think you're getting at. That certain behaviors are harmonious (a net benefit) for all, while others produce negative externalities and are therefore "sinful" for lack of

A lot of people wouldn’t know about the policy avenues that can be used to regulate these companies (of which FTC is not the only one), or how even advisory groups to the president could help.

You mean the screen to the left of the home screen? I have noticed a lot of low quality information and some advertising masquerading as articles.

Would you be willing to share some good resources for identifying rework traffic beyond IP? I have seen things in my little snitch logs I wonder about but no real recourse.

Agreed, as a general rule I shy away from predicting things I wouldn't claim expertise in otherwise. This is why consulting with subject matter experts is important. Things as innocuous as traffic crashes and speeding tickets are a hug

Same, that's what I have been using for GIS work, media production, and some light coding. Only thing I regret is not being able to play Xbox games at 21:9 (unless you know of a way).

The best one is state or local government. You’ll be able to make a lot of change and get tons of experience with a low barrier to entry. Anything related to public safety (including transportation) probably needs the most tech talent.

I worked in this area for the state of MD at one of the foremost traffic records outfits in the US and have done this work previously, there are a few considerations you are leaving out which comes as a result of knowing these data. You wan
