I'm not sure, having thankfully never had a channel deleted. That said, even with an account in good standing, the download you have access to is not the mezzanine original, but an mp4 that tops out at HD, even if you originally upload

While I'm a big fan of the concept and tech around p2p video, it has a number of flaws, the predominant one being that WebTorrent, etc. won't work at all unless the video being requested has a number of fast peers available right

It's not cheap at all if you intend to create a playback experience that is tolerable to users and somewhere close to what they expect and are used to from existing platforms. If your video has even a couple seconds of buffering/r

Unfortunately, there are a number of things at play here that overall results in progress towards anyone being able to be "their own YouTube" very difficult. * Storage costs have decreased over the years and will continue to do so

Ideally you don't do this, but rather just keep the video that you uploaded in the first place. Obviously you can't do this retroactively if you haven't already been doing it, but it's preferable from a quality and time

In practice, it’s nowhere near this simple. Even if a platform has “unlimited” capacity to store and serve content, the real estate available in places to advertise/surface this content (homepage, suggested/related content, etc.)

Unfortunately you’ve just hit upon one of the biggest arguments used against Reaper — it has a pretty limited set of good effects and only a couple “instruments” like a very barebones synth that I would never use. But that’s not why Reaper

Yeah, this is very cool, and I’m surprised I hadn’t heard about it. Though I think we’re finally at the point where async python web frameworks and tools are great, to the point where I’m no longer jonesing for something better like I used

Well of course, some file carving is what has gotten me out of a few messes in the past, including the one mentioned. But in a situation where a volume won't mount/read, it's nice to eliminate a poor implementation or FUSE is

I mean, there are valid concerns over the ethics or intentions behind AMP, but let’s not kid ourselves—it’s definitely damn fast to load. Say what you will about the implications or whatever, but they nailed it in a technical performance se

We hadn't begun development on the feature yet. These are just ongoing discussions where we bat around ideas we have for future cycles. Yes, ideally, we will instinctively get a sense for this without it taking a couple days. We probab
