My main monitor is 31.5” and my portrait monitor is 27”. My main is raised maybe 10” above my desk and set up so its center is approx. my eye height, while the portrait monitor is on the desk (so it’s bottom is lower, but it’s too is about

That’s actually a good point. My main monitor sits on top of a stand so it’s raised above my desk, set up that the center is roughly eye height. The portrait monitor is on the desk and its top is about the same height as the main monitor. T

I tend to use two split windows in my code editor and I’ve found this generally more pleasant than a separate window on another monitor (although part of that is that many editors don’t have great multi window support)

That’s setting a cookie/local storage that can be used purely client side to determine whether to show the message or not. No tracking required because the server never has to see or store this.

It really doesn’t. Steam or other stores still have to cooperate ro implement the items on each of their stores to make them work on their platform and then have to honour what the NFT claims. That’s still very heavily replying on the platf

You are still relying on sites to hold your item for you. Items don’t exist in a vacuum, having ownership over an NFT doesn’t suddenly mean things will just interoperate. For example, if it’s a game item, you still rely on one or more games

Ah, you are correct about Candy Crush. After being promoted by your comment to investigate further, I see that King seems to only ever have released one game using the engine: Blossom Blast Saga in 2016, at least according to the showcase[1

IMHO that’s much uglier than using caps. Sometimes when I use C++, I will namespace them however: namespace constants { static constexpr int name = 42; } … int x = constants::name; The exact name of the namespac

It’s not so much about using the code as it is about writing the code (or at least, providing utilities to the code being written). Yes every program uses the runtime, but very few people write the runtime. That is, perhaps the default prov

Oh, yes! DF is an excellent example. I don’t play it either, I tried it once or twice and it was just too much for me. I might try their new graphical steam version that they released last year sometime, it looks a little more accessible.

From having tinkered with it before and also from using the Godot editor (which is itself made with Godot), it does seem viable (and even quite pleasant), however it’s worth noting that it’s unlikely to have Qt’s level of accessibility supp

In Clojure we have (using :require in the namespace declaration): (:require [foo.bar]) (:require [foo.bar :as quux]) (:require [foo.bar :refer [x y z]]) …etc There’s no reason you couldn’t have similar syntax in Python.
