Of course they are doing PR stunts to kepp media talking about them. Remember Altman saying that they shouldn't release GPT-2 because of it being too dangerous? It's the same thing with this Q* thing.

I don't think it's a problem with rotting infrastructure. Using curl those requests are quick, unless you pass user-agent from browser. 4.7s with firefox user-agent and 1.3s without it. Using twitter link to the same NYT article.

And now add browser user-agent to the curl request and watch how slow it gets. - `time curl -A "Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:60.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/81.0" -L https://t.co/4fs609qwW ` ->

> If anything seeing Figmas success and acquisition will encourage more startups to launch products in theses categories. This is a false argument. Those big companies will have too dominant position to care about startups at some point.

There already are such companies, but they aren't that visible, because they don't have VC money to burn in order to grow, so they have to do it organically, which usually means slower.

I know that there are already on Fediverse, I'm there and I love this idea. What I tried to say (but came out poorly), that Fediverse, even with big growth in last months, is still kinda small and most of those "creators" are

IMHO, if 1-9-90 rule is true, then it depends on what this 1% of creators will do. If they'll stay on Reddit/any other centralized social media, then nothing will really change. But if creators will move to a different place, then

Non restricted Llama is not worse than restricted GPT-4 in MS hands. These are just different risks.

For me, a non-American, Bing Chat is totally useless. Every time I wanted it to help me with a search for some country-specific thing, no matter if I ask it in English or my language, it returns results about the USA.

In Vim you can do the same with key mapping. Like below, you have it for three different modes (normal, visual and insert): nnoremap @@ :update<cr> vnoremap @@ <c-c>:update<cr>gv inoremap @@ <c-o>:update<cr>
