It’s not a matter of being “in on it”, it’s just the reality of a) how policing works and b) California’s decriminalized crime laws. Arresting a person takes an officer off the streets for several hours, which is a waste of scarce resources

There’s no indication that happened either. The court docs say an investigator went to her house and questioned her, and she admitted to printing the doc and sending it to the press. That’s how 99% of police work is done in the real world.

perhaps the actual number is 19% of those with symptoms. This is an unfortunate reality of getting scientific data from news media - when they're not wrong, they're inaccurate.

Nicely done! This should be a good reminder to everyone who utilizes a pre-logon VPN to treat that environment as if it were already compromised. I've set up a ton of these, and never in my wildest nightmares would I give the pre-logo

Apple's been doing this for years with Content Cache on macOS - it used to be an osx server capability, but they rolled it into the regular macOS release a while back. You just turn it on for one of your Macs, and everyone on your sub

No, one could not do that. You’d need at least a real name with a valid SSN who’s birthplace and DOB matches what you’re trying to get issued. Definitely possible, but more work than just completely faking up a couple of papers.

For the states I’m familiar with, you’d also need a Social Security Number that matched the birth certificate, and a few also require a thumbprint. If you attempted to get an ID card for Joe Smith with SSN 123-45-6789, but he already has on
