Even if it's not going to be in browsers, I wonder if there's value in open sourcing it so people can create applications that run flash apps. There's a lot of content out there made with flash, especially games.

What's nice about this is the directness of it. As far as I understand, with services like AWS ECS you need to provision the infrastructure first and pay for its uptime, whereas this allows more ephemeral containers to be run with mini

I'm a hoarder in recovery, I try to consciously limit the number of tabs I open these days. If I see a tab open that I haven't looked at in a while, I try to make the effort to either submit it to Pocket or Pinboard, and then clos

Yep, very easy with JDBC + APIs like JOOQ. The "interesting" part is how to secure user credentials to login to the RDS instance, and manage connection pools etc, but it's not that difficult

Pinboard user here. I'm very good at archiving links, I use a chrome extension that just does it. However I'm not so good at the recall side of things. This isn't pinboard's fault, it's just my habits. Right now I j

Wasn't this one of the reasons why the Go project started at Google, not necessarily for Chrome, but because C++ project compile speeds were horrendous for some internal projects. Not saying Chrome could and should just switch to Go, i

What are people using Ethereum for though. Outside of trading it between each other based on price speculation, is there a real world thing that isn't a prototype that people are using as part of the smart contract system?

I returned to FB last year after a 3-4 year hiatus. I limit my use of it, maybe one visit p/day or less, it seems to work OK. The nice thing about it is I get to see photos of my family and friends who I don't see often. I visit H

It's strange to have that allowance laid out as a fixed number up front. Most of my jobs in my career have offered 25-30 days paid holiday, plus the 8 or so days of public holidays, and paid sick leave. That way you don't fall in

The only comment I will say about Dropbox is the price, I wish they would do a 100GB tier or something for £1.99 a month. I really cannot justify paying £7.99 a month for 1TB of storage, especially when I'll most likely use less than 1
