I hate to agree because I hate WordPress, but when building something for others especially in a volunteer community it's still the go-to solution. Pros, a ton of docs, easy non-technical customization, long term support, many already

As someone who has been screaming this for decades, I'm very underwhelmed by this article. It's not the villain. It's the system. As long as this is about an individual abusing a system and not the system itself, we will neve

I've written my own bots that do exactly this. My reason was mainly to avoid detection so as part of that I also severely throttled my requests and hit the target at random intervals. In other words, I wasn't trying to abuse them.

This I was talking to a fellow dev at the company I work at and he was extolling the virtues of one-click nextjs deployments. As the conversation progressed it turned out he'd never actually had to set up or manage his own servers and

Well damn, I'm not a serious developer. I guess I'm not included. edit: 2000 messages per month for $200 doesn't really seem worth it. edit edit: even less so when JetBrains lets you plug in self-hosted models. This business

100%, I'm shocked how many articles / doom sayers ignore the explosion in CS grads over the last decade. I really believe it's just for the headlines.
