gdu is really nice but ncdu, though slower, is very useful and is usually available on distro repos.

Also if you VMs on a disk backed by ZFS it's trivial to extend those disks provided you actually do have space on the real disk. (Even automatic with LXC).

This is a super simple and excellent idea. I am wondering why manual discovery of underlined words was necessary though. I suppose because they are using a pdf reader and not an editor? By the way the kindle also has a similar feature. It m

It says "Gemini App" but I am not sure what it's referring to.

My understanding is since it's an agent running on the target, possibilities will be quite extensive. But it is relatively new and there is no stable release of it yet. https://docs.goauthentik.io/endpoint-devices/

What Gemini Pro comes with Workspace? Is there api allowance? Different than free users?

As long as we're doing mentions, here's a reminder. If you bought the racial equality bundle in itch.io you already own pico8. You can download the latest version right now on itch.io. (It is neither open source nor free)

There's also an open source Authenticator software with the same name.

I haven't used SSSD due it not being available for Alpine but doesn't it provide authentication via pam_sss ?

I am keeping an eye on the new (and alpha) Authentik agent which will allow idp based ssh logins. There's also SSSD already supported but it requires glibc (due to needing NSS) meaning it's not available on Alpine.

The developer calls it a clean room implementation. He might be in for a surprise.

I did actually notice the ZFS gui which is indeed something lacking in proxmox which doesn't default to ZFS in the installer. However once you do install it using ZFS it actually makes use of it pretty well and the user does not need t

That feature list looks really good. It would actually be really nice to standardize the guest operating systems in such a way. I actually have a few hosts that only run docker. I might be able to test with those.

I have the same thing with proxmox especially after I realized how well it integrates with proxmox backup server. And I haven't even gotten into clustering yet. It really is a very solid product.

Sylve looks like a decent project with a promising future but this article really doesn't explain why they picked it over Proxmox at all. They explain a lot of things but I can't see the advantage over prox other than they wanted

I am not saying it's better or you shouldn't use multiple cursors. It does help a lot as opposed to the old way of not seeing what would have been changed. How does multiple cursors work anyway? How do you place them? By search? I

I'll have to try that out sometime. Never used multiple cursors. However, search/replace with vim/neovim isn't just the first edit either. It highlights all matches and shows you the proposed changes as you type as well.

I am not really interested in an immutable desktop OS but that incus OS sounds interesting. I use Proxmox and if prox were to be immutable I wouldn't mind that.

Like I said in the other comment I am not really familiar with the various clouds. I self host. The console is a weird web based thing that isn't the same environment as your VMs (or their hypervisor). It's a barebones shell wher

I am not sure. Maybe it's a thing about not being able to download the iso (no network on the console?) or not having space for it or something. I wouldn't know about the API thing. I am not a cloud user. Made me think though.

Reminded me of how to install Alpine linux (which isn't available) on Oracle cloud over an ubuntu install. It uses dd and has the advantage of having a console. I had found it in a github gist when I used it but here's a similar b
