This is not such a huge issue in practice. It is often enough to step through the debugger and see exactly what is failing. In conjunction with scope-capture, it is trivial to run that failing code again to have a closer look, and modify it

Not in my experience. To me, Scala feels like a kitchen sink language - like C++.

Both are functional styles. (defn foo01 [a] (let [b (x a) c (y b) r (z b c)] r)) and (defn foo02 [a] (z (x a) (y (x a)))) are both valid. I prefer the first one where I

Not sure about the other languages, but I've been using Clojure with Java 14 and GraalVM 11 for quite some time.

Not sure why this is being downvoted. BTC is not an ecological disaster - just like video games aren't ecological disasters. Both use lots of energy and GPUs. One is decentralized hard money, the other is a source of entertainment.

You didn't answer any of the questions, especially regarding decentralization. If there's going too be only a handful of validators, then it's as good as a centralized app hosted on AWS. Then how is it facilitating "DeFi

You can have arbitrary types. Like a PrimeInteger type or a NameStartingWithD type or a complex hashmap with types defined for each key, like found in most configuration files.

Yes. ClojureScript is self-hosting, and there are helper tools out there like klipse that make it easier to set up. A more lightweight option is borkdude's SCI (Small Clojure Interpreter) running inside HTML script tags: https:/&
