So you see someone's - open source project on the internet - that clearly states it's a research project and instead of commenting on the project, you complain that it doesn't have the libraries you need for your job. Brillia

The paper is surreal. An AI paper that starts with experiments on drowning cats and religious chimpanzees. Then it talks about making the system by cutting up a large wire mesh and assembling it back randomly. Then it talks about simulating

I think someone should make a Reagent for JS.

by divs1210 4y ago
You might need to re-read my comment. ClojureScript is a functional language. Reagent is a ClojureScript wrapper over React. Cljs + Reagent is AWESOME. There is a JavaFX wrapper too, with a similar API.

That is bonkers, to be honest. I've used React a lot, but only via Reagent in ClojureScript. I think the JS people are being scammed.

Same! I switched from FF to Brave a few months back, and I'm liking it a lot. I miss a few features, but nothing major.

Rating Martian and Gattaca above Contact? We clearly have very different tastes.

I disagree. Blade Runner seems to age like wine, and becomes more poignant with each re-watch. It has a good pace, amazing visuals, asks tough questions, has some really good action sequences, etc. Of course, everyone is looking for differe

3 draws per hour? I recently switched to vaping from smoking, and I hope that's not the case for nic vapes, because then I'm seriously overdoing it.

I already love Brave Browser, now I'm going to start using their search too. This is the kind of feature that seems obvious in hindsight. There are still some features I miss from FireFox (forget site, select all, etc.) but otherwise B

Also, English has a very large number of loan words from other languages. So you're dropping words from other languages in English all the time. Avatar, mantra, juggernaut, kindergarten, zeitgeist, and many, many others.

Both - libraries written in Clojure and wrapped versions of Java libraries. And because Java interop is pretty good, you can use Java libraries directly from Clojure as well. I have written REST servers, data stream processing pipelines, ha

I have used Clojure professionally at several companies, and can confidently say that you will find libraries for everything. Common Lisp/Scheme on the other hand are pretty bad in that regard, and only iseful for hobby stuff.

Oh, I forgot Will was in that one! Stand By Me is one of my favorites! Crazy that’s a Stephen King adaptation! I liked Joaquin Phoenix’s brother’s character better in that film, though. He plays a child from an unstable family. He died an u

by divs1210 4y ago
Off topic: Though Will is better known for his role in Star Trek, my favorite work of his is a low budget film from the 80’s called The Curse. It is an adaptation of HP Lovecraft’s Color Out of Space, and IMO it’s the best Lovecraft adaptat
