That’s not correct: Equal value isn’t an issue. Having both variables point to the same memory is.

Not experienced with Postgres and its ecosystem unfortunately, but all those Postgres extensions popping up on hn lately certainly make me envious. To someone with more insight: How risky is it to rely on those extensions? I guess rust hand

Same here. Had it on the CPC464. Had no idea what to do with it other than IIRC loading an image editor whose highlight (for me) was a brush in the form of a propeller fighter plane :)

Adding to that: just slapping HTTPS on those connections still would prevent an observer from detecting you downloading cowsay. IIRC every package has a fairly unique size and unless you add padding that is enough metadata to figure out wit

Sound like I should finally do something useful with my scapegoat-consulting.com domain I purchased years ago. I intended to put up a prank site offering basically just that :)

Oh wow. Didn't expect anyone to remember. It was fun to program that one as the programming game for our local hacker conference and then seeing players compete. At some point later IIRC someone even wrote an somewhat advanced AI and

Ah yes. That explains how my ballot is well-formed (formatting completely messed up by copy/paste, but probably 99% of all people couldn't tell a difference anyhow): > gρi α−σi = gw+rσi α−σi = gwασi α−σi = gw = Ai and hρi (β&#x

Is there any cloud provider that offers such VMs? Seems incredibly simpler to fail over like that instead of implementing a userland procedure.

Super Mario Galaxy has a mode where a second controller doesn't control another character but instead allows some helpful actions (like dragging or grabbing things, collecting stuff, etc).

I’m confused by this. Maybe I misunderstand the algorithm given in the draft linked above, but that doesn’t look O(n^2) at all. Intuitively it also doesn’t make sense as quadratic somehow implies that each character depends on all others (s
