same; this is the part I always end up trying to explain to people when talking up Dune. The monolith in 2001 is kind of a similar idea.

Maybe part of the problem is in the first paragraph. Founders/VC types seem to think that being able to make money off of people's usage of your product is the same as "creating value" for those people. To take an extrem

I really came to appreciate this when I got a camera during the pandemic and started walking around looking for things to photograph. I recommend it. Even better maybe if you dispense with the instagram account and the idea of trying to sho

I appreciate that this is a novel non-knee-jerk take on social media but not sure I fully buy it, mostly because the way commerce/the algorithm modifies this “stage” in real time. Art/performance always has and will have some comm

homelessness is a big issue in NYC, it doesn’t seem clear to me that cars have much to do with it, compared to, say, lack of affordable housing. perhaps we could reclaim all the parking space to build more housing

I am biased but why do we even need cars in the city center, or at the very least why should they be convenient? Could there not be a situation where you walk to the edges of the city center to pick up your car and leave from there? There a

Tried to second your comment about playing quietly on a very loud amp but looks like it was deleted. So I'll say it here: at some point I tried playing out of a very high headroom amp, fingerstyle, and it completely changed my playin

This seems almost too simple & good to be true. The counter points in the linked article mention that its too "computationally expensive" to calculate the payments, and the additional management costs could outweigh the benefi

I have to say I have literally never once had the thought that Dropbox is in my way. I have a 3TB pro account which I have setup on my studio computer with full sync to an external drive. I record/work on sessions with sync continually
