yes, the new LinkedIn app on the iPad is gorgeous, performs really well and apparently is mostly made out of HTML5. They use local storage to cache data, FB app does not do that. http://engineering.linkedin.com/mobile/linkedin-ipad-using-l

yep, that's the issue. with all technology you have to balance the pros and cons for the user and developer. Path took 100 % the user as focus point, Facebook a bit more the developer

besides the default theme and the high contrast theme, all others are useless and look like the work of a 5 year old. Design has a function, namely to make things clear and give the user a good experience.

I get it if Chrome developers want to stop spoofing of malicious urls like http://veryfamouswebsite.com:pwd@malicioussite.com . However, I prefer the Firefox way: FF prompts you if you want to login with the username specified in the url.

No, my money is on Microsoft buying RIM/Blackberry. Those guys are gone in 3 months. After that acquisition Nokia will not be possible anymore because of anti-competition regulations.

the fact that my Android app can read log statements of other apps is also helping creating this security hole. Sandbox each app I would say!
