I think if you visit a place like Australia you'll realize it's much more of a melting pot than here. Believe it or not, you were raised by American education to believe this is the best country in the world. Take some trips, you

I never said blindly, but I do love that you admit to thinking America is great. What other countries do you think are great?

I love how we go to theory instead of looking at other nations where healthcare works, like Australia. American exceptionalism at it's finest.

Just like how we can shop around for our internet here :) It's wild to me how folks will continue to support the predatory healthcare industry here.

Exactly, and companies can stand to starve folks out. Strikes aren't as big a deal as they used to be even.

We also need to start acknowledging most medical care is urgent and not a choice. Happy to see some movement on at least price transparency though.

Yes, I tried it, I think it would be good if you're not picky. I couldn't get into any of the stories, so my sub for two years just expired. Might resub if I can get some discipline. For now I'm reading through books on my o

The Japanese learning space feels so crowded. Most are marketed towards beginners, which makes sense when you see statistics (most folks give up). The top tier tools I recommend anyone are Wanikani and Bunpro. Beyond that, reading! I tried

They "No true Scotsman" started their argument, so I think you're fighting uphill. I have around 10 years experience, tailwind is a godsend for maintainability and speed.

I'm a native born and raised in the US, so I'm used to it for the most part. It wasn't till I visited other countries that I realized how strange it is that we are comfortable around it. I feel much safer on my visits to Aus

I met multiple individuals on my last trip to Australia who commented on how they felt extremely unsafe in the USA (hearing gunshots at night, seeing shootings on the news). Some were native Australians, others were from places abroad, suc

I have a feeling you've never actually been there. They do have an issue with forced confessions, but you're much more likely to be arrested or worse (shot) in the USA for no reason. But beyond that, this is an over simplification
