It's not that it can't do anything, it's that you have to actually implement things at a lower level. I mean, Gatsby doesn't have any backend CMS out of the box so that's the most obvious thing. If you want to use

I'll look into that, thanks. I need to design the technical solution I am going to use for client work and I want it to be as cutting edge as possible without being a nightmare to maintain.

I just built my first site in Gatsby ( https://pubgood.dev/ ) and I honestly missed WordPress. Gatsby just doesn't take care of enough stuff without having to install a bunch of other solutions. I'm not sure of the

It really just depends on where you're interviewing. A lot of places that hire software engineers don't ask algorithmic questions at all. It's really impossible to generalize about most aspects of this career in my opinion. T

I agree with this. I've known some people who've been coding for 15-20 years who just coast, and end up in senior positions because of how long they've been employed when their skills are really at the level of a 2 year junio

Hey, thanks for these comments. I was wondering, if someone wanted to do a deep dive into consulting especially for government agencies, and has little to no sales experience do you know of any books that are really good?

Yes, but it's always there as an option if the lawyer doesn't do what they want them to. Also, you can get in this kind of trouble for criminal charges unrelated to work done at your day job. I've known lawyers who got into t

In the U.S. only a very small percentage of lawyers ever get to the point where they make $250 an hour, and even if they do they only have a certain amount of years they can earn that much then if they don't make partner at whatever fi

I've been using Reddit since 2009 (after the Digg exodus for ironically - a bad redesign.), and the biggest change I've noticed (aside from the terrible single page app they switched over to) is how massively popular schadenfreude

The environment described in this article is horrifying and definitely sounds worse than our current financial system. That person just lost $12k to fraud and has no recourse at all. I agree with the other comments on here. Blockchain/

This comment thread is so funny to me because Jira is actually the least unpleasant of all the enterprise software I'm forced to use at my job (lots of Microsoft stuff) so by comparison it's actually fine.

I agree with you in principle - but these UI updates were basically just refreshing the UX that already existed with a similar aesthetic look. They didn't disable the windowing system or make any other big changes in how the interface

That's an interesting point, I didn't think about that. Plus, the extra padding would make more sense then. Maybe they are planning on adding it.

Agree - I think there's a silent majority thing going on here. Because I only saw negative comments on any thread I looked at about this. That's what prompted me to comment in the first place. Clearly, a lot of people do agree (or
